Newly Discovered Recent Impact Crater In Greenland

Map via Gizmodo Australia University of Kansas About 10 years ago a group of researchers from various fields proposed a theory. This theory set out to explain the onset of the Younger Dryas (YD) episode of our current interglacial period. Their theory proposed a huge impact event as the trigger for the YD episode. Their comprehensive claims included a 4km wide impact object, massive continent wide wild fires across the Northern Hemisphere, and extensive global flooding . Of course their evidence was ruthlessly debunked by their critics, most of which was valid due to the extravagance of their claims. (4) Before and since the question of what caused the Younger Dryas episode has remained largely unanswered. Since the end of the last Ice Age (~3 - 2.5 million YAG) climatologists have concluded that the Earth has experienced approximately 25 brief cooling periods or cycles, referred to as Dansgaard-Oeschger (D-O) events. One argument of critics against any impact triggering theo...

Decrypting A Mayan Mystery

William Gadoury via CSA In the last few days there has been talk about the discovery of a new Mayan city by a schoolboy from Canada. William Gadoury has been interested in all things Maya for most of his young life. He has taken his interest seriously and used his curiosity and creativity to look for more understanding of the culture that stirs his imagination.  It has long been pondered about how the Maya chose the sites for some of their greatest cities. They are not near water sources. They are not along coasts. They are not along trade routes. They are not on grid patterns. They are not in open plains. They are not strategically impressive. Thus a question has plagued scholars for years; Why build cities in the middle of the jungle away from natural resources, especially water, and seeming to ignore all other logical rationale for human settlement? In most cases Mayan cities remained hidden and undisturbed of hundreds of years, due in part to the jungle having so complete...

Causeways and Rituals in the Ancient World

Woodhenge Wiltshire England Not far up the river, Avon, from Stonehenge is a less famous, but equally important site, that of Woodhenge. And the difference from Stonehenge is just like it sounds...Woodhenge was made from timbers and Stonehenge is constructed of stone. There is a theory that believes that the difference in the construction elements of these two sites was intentional and meaningful. This theory holds that Woodhenge was constructed from timbers as symbols representative of life or the living and that Stonehenge was constructed out of stone, a non-living or 'dead' material and thus represented death. With new techniques and technology there have been new discoveries. One of the discoveries that connects these two sites is the finding of 'Avenues' leading from both sites toward the river Avon and thus connecting both. Therefore, the theory draws a conclusion that this was a funeral ritual conducted that commenced at the Woodhenge and proceeded to the A...

"There Was NO Global Deluge......"

via englishare.net The Great Flood is marginalized by many academics which is a shame. The definition of great and or global seems to be what inhibits them from being able to pursue the story that has been remembered by peoples all over the world as more than just a story. I have to say, to be honest I am sometimes surprised that we have managed to learn as much as we have considering how limited the view of academics can be. There have been various investigations into finding Noah's flood . There are several major stories that have been used to guide searchers for the proof of this global flood. In addition to Noah, we have the Epic of Gilgamesh , the tales of Atlantis and Lemuria, and the oddities of Tiahuanco. However, sometimes, even the fringe investigators with a focused passion can get as narrow-viewed as the 'mainstream academics'. Where the academic denies everything that seems to be outside the normal and mundane annals of approved history, the fanatic...

Who Built the Pyramids, When????

In this approach we will find some fascinating details as well as some that will confound the reader. The question should come to mind; " how can it be both times? " In order to appreciate the wholeness of this aspect of our pondering we need to look at a world-wide fascination of ancient peoples. What is this world-wide phenomenon? In one word, it is Astronomy. As we mentioned in the previous post the oldest civilized peoples all were very adept students of the stars. Their rituals and beliefs very much focused on the skies. They measured the movement of the Sun, the Moon, and the constellations. Their were Sun gods and Moon goddesses and the stars were home to the Gods. They followed the path of the Sun, the Moon and the constellations across the skies. They knew the cycles of the Sun and Moon and Earth. They could predict the eclipses and even the arrival of comets. One of the most famous stories known to us today tells of 3 magi that travel for 2 years to find...

Meeting the Anceint Egyptians.............Part 3

Imhotep via Wikipedia We have looked at the design location of some of the structures of the Necropolis and we have looked at some of the numbers in the building of the Pyramids. Now lets look at the 'men' responsible for such wonders. In this approach we will look at the 'men' that are truly responsible for the structures that have totally perplexed our reason and logic up to this point. It is time to know the 'men' in a general way, before we become totally confounded by our next question in this journey. If we look at what seems to have been the focal point for all peoples and hence most religions then we need only look up.  Ancient peoples were obsessed by the heavens and all the happenings in the skies. So complete was this obsession that the first things that we seem to have been students of were the stars. Their rituals and beliefs very much focused on the skies. They measured the movement of the Sun, the Moon, and the constellations. They were awar...
